SPG-Smart Payment Gateway Documentation



Copy the ‘SPG’ zip on your desktop.

    1. Unzip it.
    2. Upload the folder ‘SPG’ to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory.
    3. Activate ‘SPG- Smart Payment Gateway’ through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
    4. Your plugin is activated. Go to “WooCommerce -> Settings -> Checkout”
    5. Select ‘SPG Paypal’, click on activate and enjoy it.


In order to use SPG as your payment gateway in your site, you need to activate it in your paypal account and get your client IDs. This are the steps to do it:

Log in to your PayPal account at:


Once logged in click on the “Dashboard”.



After that click on the “My Account”
Under “My Account” make sure all services are activated for you (green commas

Otherwise to activate (or Enable) something just click on the item and follow the instructions


As next from this point go to “My Apps“


Then click on “Create App”


This will ask you to name the app and select an account to develop the app with.


Then click on “Create App”, PayPal will give you all of the information you need.


Once payment with sandbox checked switch to live


After all you just need to take these client ID and Client Secret from PayPal and put them in
your store under Dashboard>Woocommerce>settings>checkout>SPG


SPG Gateway come with a custom email notification method allowing you to send automated order receipt emails to customer  with the foreign currencies. In order to use it, you will need to deactivate the default email:

Click under Dashboard>Woocommerce>settings>   then select the “Email” tab


Select “Processing order”


Uncheck “Enable this email notification”  and save changes
